My Story
This is not generic career coaching. It is specialist transition support grounded in lived experience, professional training, and a deep understanding of how teachers think, work, and adapt. I help teachers clarify what they want next, recognise the value of the skills they already possess, and move forward with confidence into work that better aligns with their wellbeing, values, and capabilities.
The Story Behind the Work
I began my career in the classroom, where I experienced firsthand the complexity, responsibility, and emotional labour that teaching demands. Like many teachers, I reached a point where the work I cared deeply about was no longer sustainable — not because I lacked commitment, but because the system required more than it could reasonably give back. After fourteen years as a teacher, I began exploring life beyond the classroom, I quickly realised how difficult it was to translate teaching skills into new professional contexts, and how little tailored support existed for educators navigating this transition.
My work today sits at the intersection of education and coaching psychology. I hold a Bachelor of Education, a Master of Education, and a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology — a combination that allows me to understand both the realities of classroom teaching and the evidence-based processes that support meaningful career change. Many career coaches support people changing roles, but few understand that teaching is not just a job — it is a professional identity. Leaving the classroom often involves not only a career shift, but a psychological adjustment to work that may feel less visibly “important,” even when it is healthier and more sustainable.
This support is practical, structured, and tailored to educators who want clear direction, not generic career advice.
